glazed carrots & onions

300 g carrots
200 g shallots
10 g butter
½ dl water
1 twig of rosemary
Sea salt and pepper
1dl apple vinegar
1 tea spoon of honey


Peel the carrots and cut them in medium size chunks.

Peel the shallots and cut them in half lengthwise.
Put butter, water and rosemary in a pot and add the carrot and shallots.

Spice it up with sea salt and pepper and let it steam for 4-5 minutes with a lid.

Add vinegar and honey, remove the lid and let it boil for another 5-6 minutes.

Once the carrots and shallots are beautifully glazed turn off the heat.

You can add more salt, pepper, honey and vinegar to hit the sweet & sour balance that fits your taste.

This side dish is great with any meat.
