4 ears of corn, cut in half

2 tablespoons/ 30g butter

1 teaspoon paprika powder

1 teaspoon oregano

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

1 small bunch green/spring onions

½ cup/ 50g shredded cheese


Boil the corn until the kernels are tender. Remove from the water and pat dry

Place the ears of corn directly on the medium high flames of your gas stove burners

Char the corn, rotating to get an even char

Melt the butter in the microwave. Stir in the seasonings and brush the mixture over the corn

Top with shredded smoked (Gouda) cheese and a sprinkle of green/spring onions
